MICHELIN ROAD CLASSIC Motorcycle tire

The new Michelin Road Classic replaces the popular Michelin Pilot Activ tire.

The tire's stylish retro design combines with the latest materials and its structure is based on the latest tire technology.

The center of the tread and the shoulder area are smooth, the tire has optimal contact with the road surface and its grip on dry road surfaces is excellent. On wet road surfaces, excellent grip is created by a 100% silica rubber compound and water-breaking, bevelled ends. The tire has very good grip even in difficult conditions and has a long service life.

The body of a motorcycle tire must be able to meet a number of versatile requirements in a reliable and durable manner. The tire must support the weight of the bike and the driver, provide ride comfort and stay in shape even at high speeds. In addition, the tire must not overheat, which would affect its durability.

The body of the Michelin Road Classic meets these requirements uncompromisingly. Immediately below the tread are two layers of Bi-NST that prevent the body from expanding due to centrifugal force at high speeds. In this way, the contact surface of the tire with the road retains its shape and the grip of the tire remains optimal. Underneath the Bi-NST layers are two rigid Bi-NC layers that carry the load and give the ride stability in all situations. At the same time, the load-bearing layers are flexible enough to allow the driver and passenger to enjoy a comfortable ride. The body is surrounded by an airtight butyl strap at the foot, which allows the tire to be fitted without the inner tube if rims suitable for such installation are used. Of course, mounting on ordinary rims with an inner tube is equally successful.
